With such different backgrounds and life goals, Dr. Paulo and Dr. Laura will gradually learn from each other while dealing with the complexities of medical cases.

Back at the Primary Healthcare Unit, Dr. Laura will seek a balance between the human and the scientific as she mediates the conflict between the unorthodox Dr. Paulo and the new manager, Cilene, who is primarily interested in productivity. Despite some disagreements, the reunion between the doctors fosters a new relationship that is challenged by an environment where solutions are always multifaceted, but never simple, as in cases of epidemics, abortion, and domestic violence.
