Kyle Martin ChandlerĀ (born September 17, 1965) is an American actor. He received critical acclaim for his performance asĀ Eric TaylorĀ in theĀ NBCĀ seriesĀ Friday Night Lights(2006ā2011), winning theĀ Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama SeriesĀ in 2011.
Making his screen acting debut in the 1988 television filmĀ Quiet Victory: The Charlie Wedemeyer Story, Chandler's first regular television role was in theĀ ABCĀ dramaĀ HomefrontĀ (1991ā1993). This was followed by the lead role ofĀ Gary HobsonĀ in theĀ seriesĀ Early EditionĀ (1996ā2000). His well-received guest appearance on the medical dramaĀ Grey's AnatomyĀ (2006ā2007) earned Chandler his firstĀ Primetime Emmy Award nomination.
