Alexandra Charles is a Swedish entrepreneur and former nightclub owner, born on November 12, 1946, in Mariestad. She rose to prominence in the late 1960s as the co-founder of the influential Stockholm nightclub Alexandraâs, which became a central hub for celebrities, royalty, and international visitors.
Throughout the 1970s and 1980s, her venues helped shape Swedenâs modern nightlife scene, attracting high-profile guests including members of ABBA and King Carl XVI Gustaf.
Beyond her career in entertainment, Charles has been active in philanthropy, particularly in promoting womenâs health through organizations such as the 1.6 and 2.6 Million Club, which she chairs. She has also appeared in Swedish media, including hosting a summer program on national radio.
In recognition of her contributions to public health and society, she was awarded a royal medal by Carl XVI Gustaf in 2015.
