Eric R. RothĀ (born March 22, 1945) is an AmericanĀ screenwriter. He has been nominated six times for theĀ Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay:Ā Forrest GumpĀ (1994),Ā The InsiderĀ (1999),Ā MunichĀ (2005),Ā The Curious Case of Benjamin ButtonĀ (2008),Ā A Star Is BornĀ (2018), andĀ DuneĀ (2021) ā winning forĀ Forrest Gump; he also earned aĀ Best PictureĀ nomination for producingĀ MankĀ (2020). Roth also worked on screenplays for theĀ Oscar-nominated filmsĀ Ali (2001),Ā Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close (2011), andĀ Killers of the Flower MoonĀ (2023).
