Erik Messerschmidt,Ā ASCĀ (born October 23, 1980) is an AmericanĀ cinematographer.
He is best known for his collaborations with directorĀ David FincherĀ inĀ MindhunterĀ (2017ā2019),Ā MankĀ (2020) andĀ The KillerĀ (2023). He won theĀ Academy Award for Best Cinematography for Mank.Ā In 2023, he collaborated with Michael Mann for the first time onĀ Ferrari.
He has also shot episodes of popular TV series, includingĀ Legion,Ā Fargo,Ā Raised by Wolves, andĀ Dope Thief.
