Biography
Joseph David Keery, also known professionally asĀ Djo, is an American actor, singer, and musician. He first gained international recognition for playingĀ Steve HarringtonĀ in the science fiction seriesĀ Stranger ThingsĀ (2016ā2025), and has since starred in the comedy horror filmĀ Spree (2020), the comedy filmĀ Free GuyĀ (2021), and in theĀ fifth seasonĀ of the crime comedy-drama seriesĀ FargoĀ (2023ā2024).
As a musician, Keery was a founding member of the psychedelic rock bandĀ Post Animal. He left the band in 2018 due to acting commitments. In 2019, he released his debut solo album,Ā Twenty Twenty (2019), as Djo. His second album,Ā DecideĀ (2022), spawned theĀ sleeper hitĀ and his firstĀ BillboardĀ Hot 100Ā entry, "End of Beginning", after it became viral onĀ TikTokĀ in 2024. Djo's third album,Ā The Crux, was released in 2025. He rejoined Post Animal that same year and headlined theĀ Back on You World TourĀ as Djo with Post Animal as openers.
