Biography

Bentley graduated from a three-year acting course at theĀ Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic ArtĀ in 2004 and has since been in demand for film, theatre and TV roles.[2] She made her 2004 TV debut in an episode ofĀ Holby City, followed by an appearance inĀ Blue Murder, in which she played a receptionist.[1][3]Ā Other early appearances included a leading role in the dramaĀ BurnĀ at theĀ National Theatre, playing Martha inĀ Martha Loves MichaelĀ at theĀ Edinburgh FringeĀ and the role of Leah inĀ Beautiful ThingĀ at theĀ Sound Theatre.[4] Bentley's other TV and film roles since 2004 have included WPC Maria Jackson inĀ Dalziel and Pascoe, Leonilda inĀ Casanova, Rachel inĀ GrownupsĀ and Shelley in theĀ Channel 4Ā filmĀ The Mark of Cain. The second series ofĀ Primeval, in which Bentley played a leading role, was shown onĀ ITVĀ in March and April 2008.[4] She starred in newĀ BBC OneĀ comedy dramaĀ Mutual FriendsĀ alongsideĀ Marc Warren,Ā Keeley Hawes,Ā Sarah AlexanderĀ andĀ Alexander Armstrong. She also played medical student Holly Farr inĀ Silent WitnessĀ in 2008. She appeared as Mina in theĀ Jonathan CreekĀ 2009 Christmas Special. She appeared alongside Joel Fry in both the BBC3 comedy series White Van Man and ITV2 comedy series Plebs. In January 2013 she played Rose inĀ MirandaĀ and also in 2013 she appeared in the ITV1 comedy drama seriesGreat Night OutĀ as Colleen.
