Brian Michael LynchĀ (born June 21, 1973) is an American film and comic book writer. Lynch was the initial writer and co-creator ofĀ Angel: After the FallĀ forĀ IDW PublishingĀ alongsideĀ Joss Whedon, and is best known for writing the screenplays for the filmsĀ Puss in BootsĀ (2011),Ā MinionsĀ (2015),Ā The Secret Life of PetsĀ (2016),Ā The Secret Life of Pets 2Ā (2019), andĀ Minions: The Rise of Gru (2022). He has also written unproduced film adaptations of bothĀ The SimsĀ andĀ The Muppets.
