Maria Cecilia RodriguezĀ (born March 17, 1938) is a multi-awarded Filipina actress. She appeared in more than 130 movies and television shows. She won fourĀ FAMAS AwardsĀ in the filmsĀ Kulay Dugo Ang Gabi,Ā The Passionate Strangers,Ā LiletĀ andĀ Magnifico. She also received an award for Best Supporting Actress in theĀ Metro Manila Film FestivalĀ for the movieĀ Bulaklak Sa City JailĀ (1984). Rodriguez joined the movie industry in the late 1950s, appearing inĀ Sa Ngalan Ng EspadaĀ (1958), andĀ Shirley, My DarlingĀ (1958). She performed in movies such asĀ Lilet, released in 1971,Ā Super GeeĀ (1973) andĀ Mrs. Eva Fonda, 16Ā (1976). She was known as the original Valentina inĀ DarnaĀ movies. She was included in theĀ GMA-7Ā TV sitcomĀ Who's Your Daddy Now?Ā (2007) and the romantic-comedy seriesĀ I Heart You, Pare!Ā (2011) starringDingdong DantesĀ andĀ Regine Velasquez.
