was a Japanese voiceā actor from TaitÅ,ā Tokyo. He was best known for voicing Medama Oyaji in nearly every adaptation of Shigeruā Mizuki's GeGeGeā noā KitarÅ made during his lifetime.
During his life he had been attached to Gekidan TÅgei and then Theatre Echo; he was attached to Aoniā Production at the time of his death. He had a naturally deep voice but became famous for voicing characters with a high pitched voice. In addition to GeGeGeā noā KitarÅ, he also had prominent roles in Tensaiā Bakabon (as the first voice of Honkan-san), Mazingerā Z (as Mucha), Paul'sā Miraculousā Adventure (as Doppe), Magicalā Princessā Minkyā Momo (as Sindbook), Akuma-kun (as Youaltepuztli), Dr.ā Slumpā &ā Arale-chan (as Gara and Akiraā Toriyama), Dragonā Quest:ā Daiā noā DaibÅken (as Brass), and the Shinā Megamiā Tensei:ā Persona series (as Igor).
